CEA has started solar energy activities with the foundation of the GENEC platform in the eighties and the operation of laboratories working on solar cell technology. By the end of 2005, CEA regrouped its solar activities on the INES campus located on Savoie Technolac. With the change of its name to “Commissariat à l’énergie atomique et aux énergies alternatives”, and 250 employees working at CEA-INES, CEA underlines its clear commitment to solar energies.
Main tasks in the project
CEA-INES will be mainly involved in the systems performance and reliability evaluation. It will cooperate with Radboud University on the determination of test methodology and conditions specifically adapted to CPV.
